Women & Cinema
In a world still wrestling with gender equality, photographer MOJA launched Women & Cinema in 2017 not to wade into debate, but to pay artistic tribute to the strength and resilience of women. From the start, he’s made it clear: he doesn’t speak for women. He believes the real issue is that this is still a “debate” at all. Women don’t need protection, they need respect.
Now a bold annual fixture at Cannes, Women & Cinema reimagines iconic films with powerful female leads—characters who broke norms, inspired audiences, and left a lasting impact. This year’s edition celebrates legendary actresses and the roles that defined them, spotlighting strength, struggle, and influence on screen and beyond.
